Before I get into this post, I want to apologize for my lack of activity on this website. I just wrote my first set of board exams (NPLEX) for naturopathic medical school at the beginning of February. I spent all my spare time in January preparing for this exam that covers 2 years worth of material. Needless to say I was burnt the f out!! It has felt like a long few weeks since my exam, but I am finally starting to feel like myself again and I am excited to start putting more time into this blog. I have so many exciting posts coming up for you guys in the future!
I sometimes feel like I am in a constant search for the cleanest, greenest, most effective beauty products. I struggle with this area a lot. For the past 10ish years I have been conscious about what goes in and on my body. It sometimes feels as though I have tried every natural body lotion, hair product, make-up on this planet. There are many products I think are great, but there are lots that are just, well, meh..
Often times I will use a natural product for awhile, and then move on to the next, or fall back into using regular non-natural products, such as drug store mascara because its cheeper and I know it works well. By now I could probably write reviews on hundreds of natural beauty products, and their pros and cons. Honestly though, unless I absolutely love something, I won't share it with you guys as I don't want this blog to be about bashing companies or negativity. Good vibes only over here!
Speaking of good vibes... that brings me to my absolute favourite natural company as of late. BOODA ORGANICS. This company really gets it. They are all about choosing the cleanest, purest, organic, food-grade ingredients for their body products. Meaning, there is zero CRAP in their products (you could literally eat their body lotion!). They aim to make gentle yet effective products, that are also environmentally friendly too.

Booda Butter <3 Daily Moisturizer
I was initially hesitant to try this little tin of love. I have used shea butter products before, and as much as I love them, I often find they leave my skin a bit too greasy. This product however, is a total game changer! I use it on my face both morning and night, on my hands when they get dry, my lips just for fun, and even a little on the dry ends of my hair. It is truly a multi-use product that moisturizes just the right amount for my skin. I have to say though, my favourite part about it has to be the smell. It contains no fragrances, but does have cocoa butter which gives it a really nice white chocolate smell!
You can't get more natural than Booda Organics. Our skin is our largest organ, and what we put on it gets absorbed into our bodies. Instead of piling on heavy lotions filled with ingredients you can't even pronounce, why not try Booda Butter!
Suds of Love all-in-one soap
This soap is awesome! It is unique in the fact that it is made with organic shea, coconut and olive oils.. meaning that it leaves your skin incredibly soft and doesn't require you to later on layers of moisturizer when you get out of the shower. I have used it as soap, for shaving and as a replacement for a shampoo and it did not disappoint in the slightest! It has a very neutral fragrance and doesn't burn or leave your skin dry at all.
Spread the Love naked lip balm
A good lip balm is something I need to have on me at all times. There is nothing worse than chapped lips. I love this lip balm as it is completely scentless, but goes on so nicely. It only contains coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and wildcrafted candelilla wax. It is soy, bee and gluten free!! Because it moisturizes so well and there are no filler ingredients I find a little goes a long way. I have been using the same tube of lip balm since November, and it still has lots left!
